Drivers Education Classroom – 30-Hour Hybrid Course
This hybrid course meets Joshua’s Law requirements but does not include behind-the-wheel instruction. Parents must attest to the required drive time.
Course Format:
Students will complete 30 hours of instruction through a combination of in-person and online learning. The in-person portion consists of two class session, while the online component includes reading assignments, discussion questions, videos, and quizzes. Successful completion of all coursework is required to receive a DDS Certificate.
Students will be assigned a login upon registration. Bring a lunch. Textbook will be provided.
Class Schedule:
December 6th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and December 7th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Plus, additional online assignments and readings
Assessment & Grading:
Students will be evaluated based on reading assignments, discussion questions, quizzes, and a public service announcement activity. All coursework will be graded and monitored by the instructor.

About the instructor:
Marty Davis holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from LaGrange College (2009). His graduate coursework included Human Resource Management, Budget and Finance, Organizational Development, Strategy, Conflict Management, Profit & Loss, Policy Evaluation, Strategic Planning, Business Management, and Operations.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University in 1996 and has continued his professional development through multiple certifications. These include Certified Program Planner (C.P.P.) from the LERN Institute (2018), Certificate on Online Learning from Duke University (2020), Quality Matters Certification: Independent Applying the QM Rubric (2017), Salesforce Administrator (Simplilearn), and Designing and Teaching Online Courses (University System of Georgia, 2025).
With an academic foundation in leadership, organizational development, and program planning, Marty brings a strong mix of strategic insight, operational knowledge, and innovative approaches to adult and continuing education.
