Work with a team to design an application that makes the world a little better!

If you bring a laptop (if possible), an open mindset, creativity, and a lot of enthusiasm, then we'll provide the rest!

Specific topics will be presented by community members the day of the event. Working in a team you'll design, develop, and share your ideas. Professional mentors will be onsite to help you, as needed. We'll have an exhibit at the end of the day where teams will showcase their work.

Who Can Participate: Teens, aged 13-18, who are currently in middle, junior high, and/or high school can particiapte. You don’t have to have any coding experience to participate.

What You Need To Bring: It is recommended that you bring a laptop, if you are able. We also recommend that you bring a mouse and a power cord for your laptop. We will have a limited amount of loaner laptops for participants who are not able to bring their own laptop.

How much does it cost to participate: Sign up by 1/28 to guarantee your seat and any promotional items. The registration fee is $30 and includes lunch on Saturday. Please indicate during registration if you have any special dietary considerations or accessibility requirements. An adult size t-shirt may also be provided if registered by 1/28. Please register in the name of the participant attending the Hackathon.

Waiver: Upon registration, minor participant's (ages 13-17) parent/guardian should complete the online UWG Hackathon 2024 Youth Waiver Forms. Participants 18 years of age must complete the UWG Talent Release Form only.

Hackathon Rules: By registering for the Hackathon 2024, the participant shall obide by the Code of Conduct, Contest Rules (if held), and Intellectual Property Rights, of which a copy will be provided at the event.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: (Refund Deadline is: January 29, 2024) A refund less a $5.00 administrative fee will be issued upon notification by telephone (678-839-6611), in person, or e-mail Continuing Education at on or before deadline.
