*** COVID Vaccination Notification ***
The Long-Term Care Facilities where we conduct Clinicals currently requires proof that you have had a COVID Vaccination before you will be allowed to enter their facilities. Pfizer Vaccinations require proof that you have had the initial vaccination and the Pfizer booster. An initial Moderna Vaccination is sufficient without a booster. If you have not already had a COVID Vaccination and you choose Pfizer, guidelines recommend two (2) months between the initial vaccination and the booster. Regardless, you must have proof of full compliance before the first day of clinicals. (see "Sessions" tab on this Page).

At this time, there are no waivers being given for any reason. While this is not a UWG requirement, it is a requirement of the Facility and we are contractually bound to honor such policies. If this policy changes, this notification will be updated. If you are adamant that you are not going to take the COVID Vaccine, it would not be practical for you to register for this course. With this knowledge, if you elect to register for this course and then withdraw at a later date, you will be given a refund per the Tuition Refund Policy.

You are required to initiate a Background/Drug Check through Advantage Students before the first day of this course. Be advised that adverse information on Background/Drug Checks does hinder an individual from obtaining employment and may also hinder an individual from participation in clinical rotations in some facilities.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
This course is a total of 88 hours of instruction of which 33 are Classroom, 31 are Skills, and 24 are Clinicals. Attendance in this class is absolutely critical. You must satisfactorily complete all 88 hours in order to be certified to register for the State CNA Certification Test. Before you register for this course, please review the"Sessions" tab on this page and ensure that you have no known conflicts with any of the class dates. If you do, you should consider registering for another course. If you miss any instruction hours and cannot make them up, your only option will be to transfer to the next CNA course which has an open slot or be given a tuition refund per our Tuition Refund Policy.

If you are currently registered to attend classes at UWG, you must enter your 917 ID number when you register. You can pay your full tuition ($995.00) or choose the UWG Student Payment Plan. This payment plan allows you to pay $595.00 at time of registration and the balance of $400.00 must be paid before the first day of class.

If you are not currently registered to attend classes at UWG, you can pay your full tuition ($1065.00) or choose the Non-UWG Student Payment Plan. This payment plan allows you to pay $665.00 at time of registration and the balance of $400.00 must be paid before the first day of class.

This is a non-credit course offered through Continuing Education and Financial Aid does not typically cover the registration fee. If you have questions concerning whether your Financial Aid will pay, please contact your advisor.

The registration fee covers course instruction, textbook, supplies, clinicals, set of scrubs, stethoscope, and name badge. Students are personally responsible for the out of pocket cost of their Advantage Students Background/Drug Check (approximately $78.50), a Professional Liability Insurance Policy for clinicals (approximately $40.00), and the Certification Test Fee (currently $112.00).

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Once you register for this course you will receive an email confirmation. There will be documents attached to your confirmation that contain important information regarding course requirements. These are mandatory requirements by the State of Georgia to attend this course. They must be addressed before the first day of class. Copies of documents that verify that you have met all of these requirements must be given to the CNA Instructor on the first day of class. If you fail to meet this obligation, you will be subject to being dropped from the course. Upon completion of this course, those students successfully meeting all requirements will be able to register to take the State CNA Certification test. If testing cannot be offered on-site at UWG, you will have to register through Credentia 365 and select a Test Site of your choice.
