Wolves Exploration STEAM Camp

Summer 2026
Get ready for a summer full of creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning!
Our K-2 Wolves Exploration Camp invites young learners to dive into exciting weekly themes designed to spark imagination, build new skills, and keep kids engaged all summer long. Each week offers age-appropriate activities, crafts, games, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) exploration, and interactive learning experiences led by caring and experienced instructors.
Ages: Rising Kindergarten through 2nd graders. The Wolves Exploration Camp curriculum is designed for youth who have completed Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, or 1st Grade or 5-7 years-of-age.
Session Dates: There are six (6) weekly camp sessions available. See session descriptions below. Please register for each camp session separately.
- Week 1: June 8-12: Bug's Life
Crawl into the amazing world of insects! Campers will explore the tiny universe of bugs through hands-on nature activities, magnifying glass adventures, creative crafts, and outdoor bug hunts. From ladybugs to butterflies, kids will learn how these small creatures make a big difference in our world. - Week 2: June 15-18 (4-Day): World Travelers
Pack your (imaginary) bags! Campers will "travel" around the globe as they learn about different cultures, traditions, foods, and landmarks. Each day features a new country-complete with crafts, music, stories, and games that celebrate the beauty of our diverse world.
- Week 3: June 22-26: Space Odyssey
3…2…1… BLAST OFF! Young astronauts will explore the wonders of space-from planets and stars to rockets and constellations. Campers will create space art, design simple rockets, and participate in galaxy-themed STEM activities that ignite curiosity about the cosmos.
- Week 4: July 6-10: Little Picassos
It's time to unleash creativity! Young artists will explore painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed-media art in this fun and inspiring week. Campers will learn about famous artists, experiment with color and texture, and take-home beautiful art pieces each day.
- Week 5: July 13-17: Tiny Tech Explorers
Perfect for little learners who love gadgets and gizmos! Campers will experiment with beginner-friendly technology concepts through coding games, building challenges, digital storytelling, and hands-on makerspace projects that foster problem-solving and creativity.
- Week 6: July 20-24: Land Before Time
Travel back to the age of dinosaurs! Campers will dig for "fossils," create dino art, learn about prehistoric creatures, and explore how paleontologists uncover Earth's ancient history. It's a roaring good time for all dinosaur lovers!
Time: 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Drop-off begins at 8:00 AM and all campers must be picked up between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM.
Location: Camp Sessions will be held in the Education Center at UWG Carrollton.
Registration Fee: $295 for each one week/five-day session/workshop. $236 for each four-day session/workshop. A morning snack will be provided. Campers must pack a ready to eat nutritious lunch and refillable water bottle. Peanut-Free Facility.
Youth Waiver: Upon registration, participant's parent/guardian should complete the online Minors in Sponsored Programs Participant Waiver Form.
Registration Notes: Please register in the name of the child attending the camp. Please note you must have a Continuing Education Registration System account to enroll someone else in a course. After selecting "Enroll Someone Else" use your email address to create a "New Record" (subaccount) to register in the name of the child/student attending the camp. You can use the same email address. If you have already registered for Wolves Exploration Camp and would like to add additional WEC Camp Sessions, please log into to your Continuing Education registration system account or call 678-839-6611. Registration Deadline is the Monday prior to each Monday Session.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: (Refund deadline is: 5 Business Days before the Session Start or the Monday prior to the Monday Session Start) A refund less a $10.00 administrative fee per camper per session will be issued upon notification by e-mail continuewest@westga.edu on or before deadline. Transfer requests to another session will be granted at the discretion of the Wolves Exploration Camp Program Manager. Failing to notify UWG Continuing Education using guidelines listed above, the University will retain all registration fees.
