Designed to navigate people through the complex aftermath of crisis, trauma, disaster, violence, mass casualty, and terrorism, Forensic Navigator© introduces students to the intense complexities experienced by survivors in the aftermath process of tragic events. Unlike crisis intervention training, Forensic Navigator© addresses the aftermath of significant events including socio-legal systems that are confusing and frustrating to survivors, potential problem areas that survivors experience including relational, financial, emotional, and other problems, and navigational plans to help direct survivors through the chaos. Course topics include primary socio-legal systems activated, most impacted populations, and projections for identifying the number of people who may need assistance. Forensic Navigator© is an exciting behavioral approach to chaos management in extreme events and this course introduces students to new tactics, knowledge, and skill sets.

This course is appropriate for social workers, chaplains, ministerial teams, advocates, counselors, law enforcement, emergency response personnel, probation and parole officers, shelter workers, correctional staff, patient advocates, teachers, personnel managers, students of the behavioral sciences including criminal justice, forensics, psychology, and sociology. It is also appropriate for outreach workers, human services practitioners and volunteers, and others who are interested in forensics, behavior, and serious events.
