About the Instructor:

Semeka Samuels is a dedicated lifelong learner and seasoned educator with extensive experience spanning from early childhood to high school levels. She has served in various capacities, including as an assistant principal at one of Georgia's largest high schools. Prior to her administrative role, Semeka honed her teaching skills across high school, middle school, and elementary settings.

Her professional journey commenced at the University of West Georgia, where she cultivated leadership abilities and a commitment to community engagement. Following her graduation from UWG, Semeka enlisted in the United States Army. As a parent of two young adults, she remains deeply involved in serving the Powder Springs community.

Semeka holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of West Georgia and has earned Bachelor’s, Master’s (in Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership), and Specialist degrees from Kennesaw State University in Education. Currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in School Improvement at the University of West Georgia, she is steadfast in her pursuit of advancing educational practices.
