Carrollton American Sign Language Camp

American Sign Language Camp is for kids ages 6-12 who want to learn foundational ASL and take the first steps in learning America's fourth most commonly used language!
During ASL Camp, students will learn ABCs, numbers, and other basic ASL signs. They will also engage in experimental learning activities that are educational, interactive, and fun. Whole group lessons focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and deaf culture will be supplemented with fun games and opportunities for practice among their peers and camp coordinators. Registration for camp includes lunch daily!
This course is instructed by Aleah Brock, M.Ed., CCC-SLP (UWG Faculty) and student volunteers who are studying Speech and Language Pathology.
Minimum enrollment to run the ASL Camp is 10.
Early Bird Registration Fee is $100 until June 4, 2018. Regular Registration Fee is $125 until the Registration Deadline on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 5PM.
Please register in the name of the child/student attending the camp. Upon registration, participant's parent/guardian should complete and return the UWG Youth Program 2018 Waiver Form. One form per child/participant is required. Waiver forms should be returned to UWG Cont Ed, 1601 Maple Street, Murphy 230, Carrollton, GA 30118 or to Continuing Education no later than the first day of camp.
Note: This course is primarily designed for hearing youth who want to learn American Sign Language.
